Private Events at The Joy

Our wedding at Sedona Views was nothing short of magical—far beyond anything we could have imagined. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that Michael and Rachel are the heart and soul of this extraordinary place. Every detail, every plan, every thoughtful touch was handled with care, grace, and genuine love.

From sunrise to starlight, everything sparkled: the breakfasts were divine, the service impeccable, and the cozy, welcoming atmosphere made our friends and family—traveling from near and far—feel completely at home. Even the mysterious toilet flush gave us all a good laugh and reminded us how wonderfully human and memorable the experience was.

Saying our vows beneath whispering trees, beside dancing water, and surrounded by Sedona's majestic red rocks was truly sacred and unforgettable. We will carry these moments in our hearts forever.

Thank you, Michael, Rachel, & the rest of the wonderful staff for creating a place—and an experience—that allowed us to celebrate love in the most beautiful way possible. We are endlessly grateful.

I honestly don't know if I have the words to describe how special The Joy is.

I chose The Joy for my 50th birthday weekend because I wanted something very different from a typical party. I had about 50 of my favorite people coming together from different chapters of my life, many traveling across the country, and what I wanted more than anything was a place where we could simply be together—without rushing off anywhere, without distractions, and surrounded by the beauty of Sedona.

The Joy gave us exactly that, and so much more!

We spent the weekend relaxing along Oak Creek, sharing meals together, having a candlelit sound bath on the lawn, dancing under the stars on the beach, and just wandering the property and enjoying one another. There is something incredibly peaceful and almost magical about this place. It gave everyone permission to slow down and be present, which was exactly what I hoped this weekend would be about.

Michael and the entire team at The Joy were also such an important part of making the weekend happen. So much thought, care and effort went into bringing all of the little pieces together, and I felt genuinely cared for throughout the entire process. They understood that this wasn't just a birthday party to me—it was a celebration of turning 50, coming home to Sedona, and beginning a new chapter of my life.

By Sunday morning, I kept hearing the same thing from my friends and family: “This place is incredible!” And it truly is.

I will never forget this weekend or the way it felt to have so many people I love gathered together in one beautiful place. The Joy will always be part of that memory for me, and I can't imagine having celebrated anywhere else.
